Old scam that one - post on a forum and get well known with loads of posts and a fancy car, offer to sell it, withdraw and get people hungry to buy it. Then you say you've had a crash and are breaking for parts. Sell the parts for cash via post (remember you're now a trusted regular member) and disa...

I've used a cheapish Halfords set for years now (modest use)

The only thing I worry about is the adaptor to use the smaller sockets - it seems like a weak link, and i've broken them on other sets before.

I remember Ripspeed before they went bust - I think the same guys set up R-Tec in St Albans. The owner had a RIPPY personal plate.

I've been there a couple of times and never seen such a high density of chavs in such a small building!

Have you posted pics on Autotrader or on here with the reg on display? Thats a classic way to pick up a clone id.

I wouldn't worry about it anyway - it's not your car now, but it might be worth contacting the buyer to let them know it might be cloned.

Is it different to the "Walnut" in my Ti, becuase I'm pretty sure that's just plastic! You won't find any fake wood trim on any Rover. ;) Very thin laminates caked in plastic-y varnish yes, but it did all at least come from some kind of tree. The wood in your bubble is made of m...

It's a complete myth that you get more power from high octane fuel. High quality/high octane fuels may have a higher energy content though, which will make a difference in any car. My understanding was that super unleaded actually has less energy than 95 - its certainly less volatile. I always use ...

F D Hs are basicly factory seconds - they were intended for a foreign market that never really materialised.
