What an interesting thread :) Late to the party and didn't even bring a bottle :nonono: Not sure my opinion would have counted for much Anthony. A sign of the times.

We live in a good area of Wolverhampton. It's not expensive but it is quiet and relatively crime-free. This morning, at just before 06:00, SWMBO was summoned next door because she is a first point of call for the lady, in her mid nineties, who lives there. She had had a fall and both the carer who f...

One of the problems with magistrates, the sentence depends on their personal opinion about an offence. Granted we don't know the full stories here but there does on the face of it seem a disparity between the sentencing policies of individual magistrates/sheriffs. Flippin' 'eck. I missed that one d...

Re: Problems with user danbo69er

My brother helped me wrap it and was with me when I dropped it off at the Sorting Office - would he be an adequate witness? If the case went to trial and his defence was that you didn't send a turbo, then the CPS might use him as a witness but a relation's unsupported evidence carries very little w...

Caveat venditor Rob, but you already know that. Maybe it has all been a mistake and there might well be an explanation. However, from the information provided, this is a fraud, plain and simple, albeit opportunist and unsophisticated. Were I in your shoes I'd be gathering evidence. Clearly you have ...

My Aspire One runs Ubuntu 8.10 and so far has coped admirably with anything I've asked of it. For something the size ans weight of a moderate paperback book, I'm happy with it.

It won't ever supplant my Desktop or my lappy though. Horses for courses.

Re: long day working on a 75

A lot of 75 / ZT owners drill a 25mm hole through the plenum chamber cover directly above the ECU drain and fit a blind grommet to form a watertight cover allowing easy access when required. That way, you can rod the drain every month as part of your checks and it only takes a minute to do. A plumbe...
