Re: Garage clear out 220 turbo bits - job lot

Have you got a N/S front hub with ABS? All the hubs have the mounts for an ABS sensor, the pair with the struts still fitted have the sensors in. I want a turbo top inlet That braided p/steering pipe too (I bought one here last year from ttrw but never received it (or a refund) The fog lights I wou...

Re: Garage clear out 220 turbo bits - job lot

Apologies for the delay getting pics up, there was a lot to sort through! These are the parts which I will definitely not need so are the first to go. Once I've cleared some space I can go through the rest a bit better. T-Series turbo exhaust manifolds x2. One has a bolt hole opened up (top of pic) ...

As mentioned, this is a bargain, so I have sapped it up :D Only really for the engine related stuff so if there's anything someone wants from the list please let me know. Certainly any R8 based items I will be selling on as I have no use for them. Ruthlessly making a few quid isnt the intention here...

Would the MGF bracket be of any use to you? Mounts to the front face of the gearbox and slave pushes towards the engine. Plenty of MGF boxes on ebay so you can see the setup, if you ask them nicely they might even sell you just the bracket...

Just a thought :) Would mean rerouting pipework though

Might be too late, but I think they're different. MGF one has a longer shaft and the arm is further from the gearbox casing IIRC.

That's the way I've seen it done, I was going to try to adapt the covers themselves to fit T-Series carriers. Looks possible but either way is a bit of a faff!

75/ZT 1.8 Turbo gearbox & clutch

As title, came with an engine I bought but not of any use to me. Flywheel is branded LuK and clutch cover AP - possibly originals? £150 collected from Didcot, Oxon for the pair. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e104/andyp1985/Selling/20160118_112256.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e104/andyp1...

L-Series engine 115k

Recently bought a diesel Rover 45 to rob of climate control goodies and other bits & pieces. Removed the engine as it was a good runner and too good to scrap. Has done 115k, starts up great at any temperature. Turbo feels in good condition, no play. Complete with fuel pump, alternator, PAS &...

As title really, having bought an entire car to put the climate control system into my ZS, I only noticed when stripping it that the transistor pack is missing! Part number is JGN000010, apparently also referred to as the "hedgehog" due to it's appearance. Fits in the heater blower assembl...

Early K-Series Aluminium fuel rail

As title really, not urgent but if anyone has one laying around... AFAIK they were fitted to early 1.4 & 1.6 engines up to around 1994 - Metro GTi & 214/216/414/416's. The inlet manifold was similar to a VVC type (bottom half was probably the same) but the top had "injection" in ra...

As far as I can tell... Remove inlet manifold, Remove any traces of OE gasket from head & manifold faces, Fit the thermal inlet gasket as it comes out of the packaging - do not remove the paper coating from either side, Refit manifold. Should the joint ever be disturbed again, it's then that you...

Re: Ferriday Thermal Inlet & Exhaust Gaskets

I don't see the point in the exhaust one as the heat is coming from the head in the first place and the temperature would equalise after time, the head being hotter than the manifold in the first place. As for the inlet, would it really make a huge difference ? The pistons/cylinders are cooled from...

Have asked the question and yes it is. It is made from the exhaust plate material and costs the same (£28) but you do have to use a standard gasket on both sides of it as opposed to just the manifold side.
