i had a 200 vi (vvc) before my coupe turbo. vvc was quick up to 60, and was alot quicker than i expected. i found it dosnt pick up as quick once you get past 70/80 (on a private dragstrip of course :P ). to be fair, if anyone buys an f d h thinkin its way better than a none f d h and thinkin its got an extra 20bhp then its there own fault for not doin research... i paid 2.5k for mine bout a year ago... yeah, some might say its expensive... but i bought it with 40k on the clock and had cambelt change...

Sorry... forgot to mention 5 previous owners and a rake of service history. not all dealer history but loads of reciepts for cambelt, water ump, oils, services, tyres, exhaust, clifford concept 300 alarm etc.

Good thing about my coupe is that the needle always seems to sit in exactly the same position (just hunder half way). I got one between having a pug 306 gti 6 and my 220 turbo... hated to admit it at the time but definatly quicker than the 306!! very fast little cars.. only a 1.8 engine so i was averaging 35ish miles to the gallon... that was with the crappiest loudest exhaust on ever.. not sure if that would make ...

Thanks or all the info guys, looks like next step is a service (doing today) and the a boost valve.
