Thanks Go for a ZR 160 (ZS 180) brake coversion.. you can use a plethora of different calipers (prelude, 620ti, zr 160 etc)...

The road opened out a bit so I pulled out and overtook him! As I did that it sounded like he dropped down a gear ...

just a quick point, even if you can afford one then its worth asking yourself if you can handle it.. I know it sounds daft but if i'm honest I was too young to have such a fast car at 19 and even though i'm nearly 21 I still can't resist nailing it when I get behind the wheel just my 2p but I'd thin...

The chrome grilles are all the same, irrespective if they are of a Si SLi GSi GTi, I think what Mule was on about would be the plasic ones similar to this http://www.robcopson.btinternet.co.uk/gsifront2.jpg err, yeah thats what i was on about but that bumper (ok its not a coupe one) has a dip in it...

i thought that was the newer style?? either way, can you see at the bottom of the grille the is a dip in the bumper so it fits? well a GTi grille will fit all it screws to the headight brackets but as its designed for a flat bumper (no dip) there will be a big gap under it.. Plus when you remove the...

the main thing is to mark the position of the camwheel up on cover or something when engine is at TDC compression stroke BEFORE u take belt off/anything else, then u know it will go back together with the right cam/valve timing.Maybe a bit late for this now, hope u havent moved cam/hope there is some...

In a last ditch attempt to recoup some self esteem ive knocked up a diagram so I hope this is a better explanation... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v93/mrmule/TimingCover.jpg As you can see the timing cover has a hole for the end of the Camshaft to poke through then the Cam sprocket goes on.. to...

george:- Just to spell it out for you, the original problem was that the head gasket was blown.. I bought a haynes manual to attempt the job myself which then caused more problems as the diagrams and descriptions were incorrect. Hence the tension in the belt problem (didnt show where the water pump ...

OFFS. The cam pulley is connected to the cam which is part of the head, remove head from the car and the timing will obviously not be the same. How in fecks name does cutting the cover off improve anything?, if you've the tool to remove something properly then use it. That belt is probably made fro...
