Post by talkingcars »

Philip

Every time I strat up the scanner I am having to re-install the pscan softwear.

I'm running MS Vista basic.

Any thoughts

Don't think my steam driven laptop will run that.

This isn't right, and the problem is not due to Vista because we have tested with Vista and it's fine.
Which folder have you put the pscanloader.exe file into?
Is your antivirus quaranteening the files?
Which antivirus are you using?

The laptop installed it in downloads, when I search the machine to find out where it is it shows 2 copies, both installed the first time I tried to and doesn't show it being reinstalled when I was actually loading it.

I have the full AVG internet antivirus package, it doesn't quaranteen files without asking first.

This is my suggestion.

Create a new folder on your desktop.
Rename the folder to pscan
Drag the installer file from Downloads over to the pscan folder that you created.
Run it from the pscan folder and tell me what happens.
