This update is ready for customers.
To receive it connect your laptop to the internet and run pscanloader.exe, and allow it to upgrade itself.
There are a few things in this update:-
MEMS1.6, MEMS1.9, MEMS2J and MEMS3: The software now has a feature to allow you to put the MEMS ECU into immobiliser learning mode. This means that if you have to replace the 5AS, or you fancy changing the EMS code (I guess if you have multiple cars you could set them all the same), then you can get the MEMS to accept the new code.
Note that this is experimental at this time and I only recommend using it if the car is already dead anyway, or if you are brave.
Note that to learn the 5AS code the 5AS has to be sending it, so it must be immobilised (by pressing unlock on the fob).
There is also a feature to read the status of the 5AS which I would say is safe.
5AS: You can now read the inputs (such as door switches) in real time using the live data feature.
General: In live data you can now make the text bigger or smaller which is useful for small Windows tablets. Also if you click on the + in the title bar it selects all parameters, and, if you click on the - in the title bar it deselects all parameters.

Update 040D

Re: Update 040D
Just curios, I know the software is licensed to be on two computers and I've only got it on my dell xps 17 at the moment, but have been finding this a tad large to carry around. Can I just copy the folder across to my latitude 12" or will I need to download the original exe file and do it?

Re: Update 040D
You will have to download and install I would say as your comp will need the drivers ect for the hardware
Re: Update 040D
if you can't get the small laptop onto the Internet then you can copy the folder from the other laptop.
The three files that you need to copy are:-
pscanloader.exe
pscanwinapp.exe
license.txt
You will also need the ftdi driver from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
If you can't get the small laptop onto the Internet then each time there is an update you will have to run it on the larger laptop to update it, and then copy it to the smaller one again.

Re: Update 040D
Thanks for reply, the smaller laptop has wireless so no problem there for updating, thanks for the reminder about the ftdi driver, had forgotten about that
Re: Update 040D
I have tried the "immobiliser learn" on 11 different ECU's (mixture of MEMS 1.9, 2J and 3) without any issues.
