Decided at the weekend that I needed some new tools so headed down to Halfords. Ended up buying the 150? Piece Socket set was only £99 down from £149. As well as that I spent over £50 so got a tenner voucher to spend next month. Gotta say top class kit, Feels good quality and even under major stress does the jobs well. Lifetime Guarantee so cant go wrong. Also comes with a few ratchet spanners, these are brilliant!

Will definitely be buying more from their professional range.

I've got exactly the same kit, bought it about a year ago. Excellent finish and feel well made. A mate of mine swears by the halfords professional range and him working at Mercedes Benz truck center, puts the tools through loads of abuse, have never broken! I would say the quality of the tools almost the same as Snap-On, without the price!

My bro's an engine builder and reckons the quality of Halfords Professional is seriously good. Snap on are better but the price more than covers that fact!

I use the same kit, abuse it on regular occasions!
Haven't managed to damage any sockets/ratchets/ratchet spanners in the two years of abuse theve had!

Ace, Ive just got £100 of Halfords vouchers.

I managed to snap one of the little extension bars in half, (dont think they appreciated a 3 foot breaker bar being used on it.

Took it to Halfords, without a recipt, new one given and away we go

Great tools, for the money i doubt anyone can find better.

Just bought the kit - its damn heavy!

Dont think I will need any of my old tools now either. Well apart from my 4D maglight breaker bar (fits over everything).
Best thing is i havent paid a penny for it, got given £100 of vouchers on wednesday for graduation.

i paid 100 quid last year for the kit below the one your talking about, it was on offer, i am really pleased with it nothing has broke, but my dog ate the foam that keeps the tools from moving around,

gutted the better ones on offer now, but the kit has come in handy many a time

Its damn heavy though (the big kit). would prefer it if they made a kit with just metic sizes as imperial sockets are pointless for most people.

I wish there was a 7mm Hex/Allen socket with it though, would have been handy for doing brakes. Had to buy a calpier key seperately. One other thing that would have been handy is a step down to use the big ratchet with the smaller sized sockets for a bit more leverage. But that is something I will pick up.

I've actually got 2 of these - absolutely perfect for pod and the like. Just get a set of decent screwdrivers to go with it.
Mine built mine Adams and Dans turbo cars, and has been a real benefit at times when I needed to get myself/someone else out of trouble.

Managed to lose the big ratchet - but replaced it with a Snap-On one that I had.

I keep a set of reducers, and a few bits in the section under the ratchets and these help me out of trouble occasionally

Saw the deal a little while ago and got another full set to keep in the car for emergencies.

Just like to add to the applause for this kit. Bought the same kit a few years back on offer and it has lasted longer than the box (and several cars)

couple of the screwdriver attachments have broken, but all in all a top buy!

Anyone got a list of whats in the set ??????

Mrs got me these for xmas, wow they are quality, how heavy, god knows how she got it home shes only 5ft tall.

Not that i need to say it but this kit is superb!! Just got mine and i am sure it will be dirty with bits missing fairly soon!

I also have one of these and its pretty comprehensive. Like mark said i got some reducers just to allow me to mix and match. Add a torque wrench and a set of screw drivers and you have pretty much all you need to do a HG change...

just bought my self one of thse kits after snapping a few bits in my old one last weekend.

gotta say bloody heavy.
