May 2004 Edition of the Rover EPC

Post by Raistlin »

Hi

I thought about putting this in the "E-Bay" part of the forum but I guess it may be of more general interest so I put it here

I don't know if this version is available at the moment from anybody who is a member of Rovertech but, anyway,

I just bought this:-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 2479301353

and was wondering if anybody would like a copy for the price of a blank CD and a stamped addressed envelope.

Maybe it's widely available already in which case please just ignore my mental meanderings :)

If anybody does want a copy though, please PM or e-mail me

ISH was after a copy and I know I would like an up-to-date version.

If I can get access to the CD, I should be able to host it on our webserver (~2mb line). It would only be temporary but at least it would enable anyone with broadband to get it. Let me know if I can help in anyway.

Hi Daz

That might be a good way for people to get it without having to waste a stamp

I believe it's a considerable size though so I'd suggest those with 56k dial up might not want to go that route ;)

If there is any interest in this method, perhaps people will let us know on this thread and if so, you will know if it's worthwhile

In the meantime, if you are on DirectConnect, I could put it in my share for you to grab ( PM or e-mail me and I'll give you the details) otherwise, I'll send you a copy of the CD, just let me know which you prefer.

I expect the CD to arrive here within a day or so

I would have a copy, and would be willing to distribute to those who cannot get it, at cost (blank CD price + postage).

You may find that it will stop working after about a month - due to time restrictions on them - unless anyone has found an alternative way of keeping it going

It'll go up as soon as I leech the CD from Paul.

Don't forget that he paid full whack for this from SMC and he's making this freely available.

Nowt techy about it. Just involves using Notepad to alter the expiry date in a file in the EPC directory. Easy peasy! 8)

As soon as the CD arrives from SMC Trading, I'll get a copy to Daz via the net and he can then let you all know the details for downloading.

Those who asked me for a disk with it on will get one as soon as I can get some copies made and I have you SAE and blank disk to hand
