I just loved my Rover SD1 Vanden Plas V8. I wish I still had it. Jet black and massive spoiler and wheels.
I got an MG ZS V6 180 at the mo and I really like it, the engine is so sweet and the handling is great. The sound system is not good but hey....

Its a toss up between the Coupe turbo and a 220GSI. Purely for how much they look like any other "boring old Rover" as I once got told by a friend. But once they are fired up and going its a completely different tune that is played. Still, even after all the logger my VI has thrown at me I still love them as well.

Mine would have to be a maestro turbo, in a SE guise, something like a vaden plas turbo if there was such a thing....

Or a saloon ZS which I think would be the only other shell my engine would be transplanted into.

Best rover ever is definitely the 220 gsi/gti turbo or 216 for different reasons the turbo speaks for its self fast drop dead gorgeous great handling _______ reliability very rare. And the 216 is all of above plus the Honda engine will take loads of stick and never break down (about 7 years ago my friends scraped one I towed the car for him about 5 miles he red lined it most of the way and couldn't blow it up absolutely amazing). It's just my opinion but the 3 door hatch definitely look better than the coupe the coupe has a phat donkey boy hope not to controversial

Coupe turbo in tahiti blue with ash grey leathers, ph1 front :D First (and only) rover that i have even come close to liking. Even though I'm not usually one to like an FF car being into the drift scene it really calls to me. LOVE the styling, LOVE the power and LOVE the handling. Also name one other car that you can get as cheap as a coupe turbo that even comes close to it in the power stakes. Not just my favorite rover ever, but possibly my favorite car ever bar mk2 Toyota mr2 and a good ol' s13! that might change if I ever get round to converting a coupe to RWD ;) :D I can only dream....

CityRover, as it's the PINNACLE of Anglo-Indian engineering.....

Or maybe a nice late SD1 Vitesse in Moonraker Blue, Manual gearbox. Or flame red.... Actually ANY colour.

1948 P3 75 Sports. I took mine to Germany in 1963, It was a one previous owner with 65,000 on the clock. It was green with green leather interior, fitted Automatic Chassis Lubrication, Selectaride suspension, electrically pumped Smiths Jackall and, of course, the obligatory Freewheel. The family I was staying with had a Mercedes 170S and the grandfather said, "It's a pity the Mercedes isn't built as well as Barrie's Rover!!" Ah! What might have been.

Obviously I'm biased but I'm gonna plump for the 600Ti, looks like any other 600 to the untrained eye and leaves boy racers with a pure look of shock in your rear view mirror.

620 Ti (my user name is a bit of a clue). It is a real Q-car; looks understated, goes really well and is always fun to drive. The 800 Coupe Vitesse is a beautiful car but the trick is to find a good one. Good ones are even rarer than a good Ti. The 75/MG ZT has better quality build than the Ti but looks too retro. The ideal would be 75/ZT technology in a 600 shell.

Before I got my ZT 1.8T, I would have to say the SD1 Vitesse or Vanden Plas then my MG Maestro 2.0 EFi but these 75s / ZT are such good cars - I always look back after I get out - never done that with a car before !

I've not driven that many, but once my 25 had SDI injectors and a remap, I was hooked! I'm not a fast driver but it's nice having the power when you need it.
