i recieved my road tax reminder form through the post the other day so this morning i decided to take all my documents with me and get the dreaded task over with, but when i got my mot paper out i realised that it runs out on 5th october, i was undecided weather to take the chance of taxing my car now then waiting till october to have the mot or weather to put it in streight awaay and see what it failed on,so i went to work and asked when they could fit me in and they said they could do it today, so i agreed knowing that if it failed on lots of things then i would be getting rid of it,
just after dinner the mechanic that was doing it came over to me and asked me if i wanted to have it pre dated at first i thought he was just messing around till he assured me it had passed first time!!!
i nearly fell off my chair when he told me, he said the car is sound with no signs of rot or corosion any where and all he could find was that one of my tires were getting a little low on tread and a slight bit of play in my steering rack
NOT BAD FOR A K-REG showing 145000 (has had a new engine though), so tomorrow ill be going to the post office and handing over £90 to have the pleasure of driving on our countrys badly worn and bumpy roads
