i was paying 1400ish TPFT with cis on a 220nasp coupe at 19 with 8 points (cd10 careless driving and sp30 speeding), two accidents and no ncd

for cheaper insurance
-don't crash
-don't modify
-get lots of security
-move to a posh low-crime area
-put someone like your mum or dad on it it brough mine down 300ish quid)

admin dont you think there should be a seperate insurance section??

Jame's i afraid your probably having a tough time because of your location.

but for what its worth

mk3 200 turbo
23 y o
5 years NCB
clean license, no history
£650 tpft (+ ludicrous excess)

best way to get it cheaper is to ask insurers to beat your best quote. That way rather than routinely pick a quote out of their computer they will hopefully pull a few strings behind the scenes to get your business.

Insurance is high these days cos of all these blimmin uninsured drivers out there- but why should the law abiding driver be the ones that pay?

Im with tesco- Ive changed over cars this year, so im not sure exactly what im on, but its around £1000 for my nasp coupe, no ncd or accidents.

They wanted a cat2 immobiliser fitted though, even though its only a nasp coupe! go figure

Just started this policy:-

Car: 1991 Nissan 200SX 1.8 16V turbo, 17s declared
Age: 20, been driving for just over 3 years
Insurance price: £900 odd on 10 month bonus accelerator(£120 cheaper if not done in instalments)
Cover: TPF&T with parents on as named drivers.
NCB: 0, never had a policy before, had a smash in septmeber 2001(don't think it counts cos its over 3 years) and a smash in feb 2003.
Points: None
Company: Admiral, but quote done through confused.com(highly recommended, give you lots of quotes from various insurers)

Hope this helps. Good luck on getting a good quote. I've only just started getting decent quotes recently, is twenty and a half a big milestone?

God it's nice to be old!
420 was £300 bang on all mods declared
10 years NCD no accidents/claims and 1 SP10 3 points

Would have cost me £97 extra premium to change to a 420 Turbo. Thats through Chris Knott and Highway

Vitesse Sport, cheapest I've got so far is £374 through confused.com yet to have a confirmed price through Chris Knott

Just renewed with Churchill, no one else could get close. Was £780 Fully Comp then I had protected no claims and breakdown, took it to about £890.
