I'm not 100% but I would have thought so, the bore on the two boxes should be the same being the same size engines. Can anyone back me up?
Why do you ask, is there one going cheap?

Should fit, prob will bolt straight up. I dont see Rover changing the exhaust and flanges on it for a different model...

It can always be made to fit! If not, you'll get your cash back selling it on here.

Im 100% sure that a honda 216 DOHC (GTI) back box will fit a honda 216 SOHC (sli).

I have a GTI OE backbox for sale if you want one... £10 as new.

What was the performance on the Sli, my neighbours got one.

Iam pretty sure the backbox is same across the range for Honda engines at least
