Best thing to do is drive one and examine the build carefully. At the right price they probably will make a nice little city runabout.

That stupid git James whateverhisnameis panned it on Top Gear but what does he know? I suggest, as others before have, that you test drive one. If it's good enough for the Indian market, it can't be all bad. I mean, they still drive around in Standard 8's and even may have a few SD1's and Montegos round too. If you can get the price down (that was the main criticism) then it could be a bargain.

I'm sorry...It's a piece of logger and this is first hand.
It's a logger driving position, no power from the engine, loads of noise inside the cabin, shitty steering wheel which rubbed on the plastic cowel each time you turned.
The only + was that it had a Sony CD Player!

i saw it at the motorshow at the NEC..
to say i was shocked is an understatement....
it just looked cheap and nasty.
in this day and age you would expect alot more from a motar.

I think there is a secret plan to gift it to his worst enemy, a mother in law prehaps ?
You would have to get it for 2 thousand new to be worth it surely

So you ask whether it's good or not... and people on a rover forum openly admit that this rover is dire... yet you're still getting one? Odd.
Personally I think they look cheap and tacky. I know of somebody with one (and he's about 80 so in the normal cityroverage bracket) - apparently it's crap quality.
I'd rather have a 10 year old Sei or something... same size engine, just more practical, better looking, cheaper and faster.

Do you even have the money? you have a habit of 'buying' things off ebay and never paying for them.
