Don't worry too much...all the Saes in work today said happy St.Davids day to me....but most didn't know when St.Georges day was.

Also...St.Patrick was Welsh!

I knew that!
His parents were Roman subjects who were christians. He was captured by men under the command of an Irish high king called "Niall of the Nine Hostages" and he was brought back to Ireland and sold as a slave.

If that hadn't happened, people all over the world wouldn't be getting pissed on March 17th, and the market for souvenir shillelagh and green leprechaun hats would be significantly less than it is now!

Anyway, St George's day is after that on April 23rd, and St Andrew's day isn't until November 30th.

Ah right, it's Sassenach in Irish, I suspect it's probably the same or similar in Scots Gaelic.
