Complete head without the inlet manifold, but complete (cams pulleys and covers.)
How much do you reckon it weighs? Under 20kg?

just weighed.
bare head, no cams and no valves or covers = 15.8kg
won't be super accurate on bathroom scales, but close enough.
so with cams etc and wrapping if it's to be shipped, i'd say under 20kg

well a rough guess is cams are only a kilo or so each, and then cam covers next too nothing so i'd see that as 18kilos all in, plus packing.
should be just under by a scraping

what about royal mail parcelforce48 ?
did try a few times on the electronic scales, and always got 15.8 region, but not perfect as couldn't get the entire head on the plate, but i'd be surprised if it was way over 20kg.
i know my scales have matched pretty much to doctors seeing as i have to weigh myself all the time for my diabetes clinic stuff

Royal Mail do up to 30 kilos in the local place here , might be worth just taking it in and trying.

I went from 90ish Kg to 115ish when i picked up the box. My bathroom scales are a bit dead though. Valves, springs pulleys and cams must weigh a fair bit then.

29.kg including an alternator tensioner, packaging was quite heavy duty though and prob added a Kilo. I would say the head alone built up is 25kg.
Cost £28 for parcelforce 48, insured up to £150.

The mrs' norks, so it's not all bad.
I always was a quick sprinter though, and skinny arms come in handy when working on cars.
