Good excuse to justify buying wheels to the missus?

Post by Roboscot »

Got a problem guys, fancy splashing out on a set of new alloys for my coupe but the other half seems to think a washing machine is more important! Anyone know of any good lines I could use to bring her round? :? Sure this must be a common problem for car enthusiasts!

Take original wheels off leaving car on bricks, store wheels in mates garage.
Buy new wheels, sell old wheels and tell the Mrs the old bill got them back. With the money from the sale of wheels buy washing machine, everyone happy :D

Use the words " No they're not new wheels they've always been on the car " Then flogg your old 1's before she see's them in the Garage, and buy a new washing mchine with the money from the old 1's
If the truth comes out later, she wont mind cause she's got her W/M.

Point to the back patio, and ask if she has ever wondered what it looks like from underneath.

Personally I'd get the washing machine first. Especially if she does your washing for you...

Explain that 4 new tyres for your std wheels cost more than a set of new wheels and tyres minus the sale price of the old wheels...

New ones are lighter - In turn saves fuel which in turn saves money which can then be spent on getting you a better washing machine :P

Or you could just say - It's a new pair of shoes for the car.

They should at least understand that :o :D
