Question About My Engine

Post by chilvers »

when i start my car and give it a bit of a rev when it gets to around 2500 - 3000rpm it sounds like its missing.

but when it warms up there is no such problem so what i am thinking is this a part of the management or is there something wrong with my car?

could be a lot of things, i had it on mine not long back and discovered it was a cracked exhaust manifold, when the engine heats up the metal manifold expands and closes the crack up :)

Mine misfires from cold. Oddly enough, it doesn't do it all of the time.

I just thought it was sticky valves or something?

could be that too, or a stuck tappet, might be worth getting some forte fuel/gas treatment off ebay and sticking it in the tank and take it for a long blast up the motorway :)

Does your car have a diagnostics socket?
