Missing it? Understandable.

I found it puzzling when I saw you offering that exceptional Maestro sometime back. If ever a car was a keeper, that one was.
Apparently ... in a parallel universe MGJohn drives ....wait for it..... A ..

Yeah unfortunately personal circumstances at the time dictated a need to sell. If i ever get a chance for her back she wont ever go again.

Ah, that one. Now, I've never been the world's biggest fan of Maestros, but I'd have bought that. Yes, it was certainly a nice example.

Did you not retain the buyer's contact details?

I did yeah, but no reply to attempt at contact, even left a message just asking how she was and got nothing back. :(

Woah Mike, that's a nice outcome! Glad it went to someone who'll look after it.

You still living in Salford? I'll have to pop over when you get it and have a gander ;)

Funnily enough, so did I! My Dad had a few Montegos and I always said I'd own an MG Montego Turbo. I loved the fact that they were no show, all go!

I guess in a way, I've fulfilled that dream with the 420 :)

Thanks for all the comments Everybody. :D
Pete who sold it to me (top Fella) said that he has had such a responce.
Even a guy from the Isle of man or white was willing 2 pay for the car and pay £600 to trailer it back without seeing it.

Is it true that black MG Maestro are that rare
Mark you dont mess about i'm impressed. if i need some advice could i ask :)

Any Maestro is rare, but only 49 Turbo's were finished in Black 20 years ago. So that makes them pretty damn rare now

I know Mark wanted to buy it back, in fact i am surprised he missed out on it this time after waiting over 3 years, in hindsight for him, he should never of sold it regardless of circumstances.

Has the engine been bored out ?
I have paperwork to say new mahle pistons 0.5mm oversize (84.91mm) making engine capacity 2015cc or 2.02ltrs.

Im sorry for all the questions
I have a A4 ring binder full of history and receipts and pictures.

Been going though it to try and see what has been done but there is a lot :)

I dont think he got the engine rebored and new pistons fitted, we got very good compression with my old pistons but brand new rings. It only had low miles and the bores were not very worn at all, so i cant see him having it done before he sold it.
