620 v 800 ?

Please could anyone tell me what if any differences there are between a 620 ti engine and an 800 Vitesse engine . Thank you .

All T16 units are basically the same

The only differences will be engine mounts/sumps, and depending on what age it is wasted spark or dizzy.

Some vittys were only 180PS instead of 200PS which was just a different exhaust (iirc) cam.

any wasted spark 800 vitty will be the 200 ps model, any that have a dizzy could be either...

il say on the logbook, you want a vitesse sport as this is what th e200ps models were known as before 1996

And a 2inch exhaust (same as NASP) instead of 2.25

with the vitesse the 8th character on the cars vin number tells you the engine type.

F=180ps
V=200ps

Have just purchased a 800 vitesse 99 engine from Ebay 99 model wasted spark said to be 45000 miles .
Was going to be a back up for 620 TI wasted spark engine already purchased but guess best to take both to engine builder and let him take his pick .
