Rover 216SE Cabriolet now sold

Post by John Cab »

Guys

Due to redundancy, I'm having to trim the fleet and my cabby has to go.

Its a 1994 216 SE (Honda D16 engine), MOT Till August 2012 and taxed until the end of January. Tahiti Blue with beige leather trim.
Bought it two years ago as a cat C write off (Minor rear bumper/back panel damage).
Since then, I have fitted replacement fully colour matched bumpers with coupe side strips. It has a mesh grille and MG/Rover 16" Hairpin alloys (In excellent condition with nearly new tyres all round.)
Electric hood is excellent in blue Mohair. (Needs new side frame parts which have rotted but I have these to go with the car-simple job.) Has recently had new rear calipers and pads.
It has a few dents and rust scabs but no major rot-still looks very nice. Drives superbly-no rattles or knocks or smoke. Fitted with an induction kit, so makes a gorgeous noise!! :)
Comes without stereo but has working electric aerial. Complete with tonneau cover and emergency hood cover.

I'm wanting £300 cash. No offers please as I can get this by selling the wheels and scrapping the rest, but this car is FAR Too good to scrap! I'm in Walsall, near Birmingham. Please PM me if interested.

Thanks for the comments guys. It probably is worth more, but:

1. I need the money
2. I need the space
3. I can't afford to retax it
4. It's the winter-who wants a cabby at full price?

It's a genuine car. :(
Kind Regards

I'd be interested in this as I'm needing a car seeing as the gti is off the road.

I could get the train next Saturday if you wouldn't mind picking me up from Walsall station.

My sense of humour is fine - but that sort of thing is no laughing matter (I speak from personal experience).

Why, because he's unemployed? So am i and i didnt take offence to it.

He's only making himself loose out by turning down a sale when he needs the money over a joke.

No excuse if its that much of a bargain. ( And it clearly is a bargain ) distance should not matter if you want something I have been all over the place to get cars some where

I live in Norwich

Went to southampton for my Ti

Went to kettering for my 220 GTi turbo

Went to Cornwall for my pulsar. ( That was a hike  )

And had a recent prat not messed me around with a 2lL Hotrod I was about to head of to scotland for that and its an oval racecar so would of either been a trailer or transporter job

So as you can see if the price is right and its what you want distance makes no difference.
