V-Reg 620Ti BRG £600

Post by Batch21 »

Hi all,

As title my Ti is now up for sale, pics below.

Additional Items:
Forge dump valve
Lowering Springs (in the boot)....i.e. not fitted
17" Vitesse wheels + Tyres in good condition
Manual ball and spring type boost controller.
Xplod head unit [original in boot]
New Clutch about 500miles ago
MGJohn style Gear selector modification [gear selection is spot on]

Boosts good, no smoke.

Few minor issues.

When the clutch was changed the flywheel was not and it's still juddering upon clutch engagement, as suggested could be flywheel, might be engine mounts or stabiliser bar.
Kangaroos around alot on and off accelerator at low revs in high gear (vac leak?)
Slight dent in roof, only small, looks like a REALLY heavy acorn has fallen on it at some point
Small scratch on rear offside quarter, a good mop should get that out.
And the drivers side rear arch looks like it's starting to give up the fight with car cancer....not broken through the paint but bubbling a little.

That's all i can think of in terms of bad things.

Still, i drive it day to day and none of the above cause me too much concern, just a bit annoying really. Someone mechanically minded could make this a minter, no doubt about that.

Never failed to start.

MOT till Nov 2011
TAX till Jan
Bags of receipts and old MOTs
Service stamps up till 94k
Cambelt replaced at 87k

Been as honest as i can guys. £600 please...pennies really when it should easily do another 50k on the existing engine!

Based South Birmingham, Solihull. About 5 mins off Jnc 5 M42.

Well well, ask and you shall receive, 2 hours and £54 later, now has 12 months MOT.

2 advisories:

1 CV joint degraded (which i stated above)
1 rear nearside brake pipes need cleaning up, starting to corrode (however the MOT tester didn't indicate that they necessarily needed replacing!)

Happy days.

Now SOMEONE BUY THIS, so i can put some more money towards my house deposit!

Err....good question...

Don't know..never used it, i can try tomorrow for you. Apparently the last owner said it worked but obviously never used it due to it ruining MPG, i'll check.

All electrics work, sunroof, windows (bar drivers side, which i've got the replacement part for), fog lights front and rear etc.

Apart from digital clock, that's fubarred.

Other than that everything works as far as i know.

It doesn't make that much difference - I never found it to on either of my ti's.

If you havne't used it in a while, if it doesn't blow cold it'll probably need recharging.

Just tried it this morning, fan sound and temperature changed upon switching it on...obviously it's difficult to measure whether it blows cold when it's -3 degrees in the car already

It did appear to make a difference so i'm going to go for yes, the aircon does work.

Ken,

I've considered it and i don't think i'm up for a swap, i'm going to downsize for when i get a house so i need something more economical, partly the reason i'm selling the Ti.

So.....BTTT.

Christmas soon, all the Ti size stockings are nearly gone, no-one want a Ti Christmas present?

Right, where to start........

NICE TI, yes that should do it. Now before anyone says, I know fleabays full of t0ssas, but my old ti was on there 3 days and sold for £580 cash (guy come saw it and took it) from the lad I sold it too. That was mint outside and in and had a whole NEW top end, but the lad had destroyed the gearbox (after I had driven it so carefully  ) Now I know it's close to crimbo but spend the £8 and list it at £750 buy it now or best offer. Then sieve through the retards and a genuine buyer will give you £600 somewhere. Job done and good luck. P.S I just sold my veccie on there full asking price £450, so people are still buying. In fact wish I had 3 more to sell

Merry xmas, Gaz

**edit** Also, take the wheels off and put the standard rims on. Someone will give £££'s for vitties with good tyres ;)

Dont take any stupid offers! The alternator, at most from a scrap yard is £30, you can take it from any T series engine'd car aslong as its the same type (ac or non-ac). My new alty came from a 400, but they had some 820's aswell.

Its stupid easy to replace, disconnect battery, remove aux belt, undo both wires going to alternator, and undo the 4 easily accessible bolts holding it in place- job done.

Hi there,

Cheers for the bumps guys

£400 isn't quite enough for me to sell at this point, it still gets me about and is good fun to drive so i'll keep it up at £600, see how it sells with 6 months tax.
