Clearout, brakes, wheels etc

Post by alileg69 »

Hiya All

Right, got to clear out all my spares as buying a house means the unit has to go!!! More will be added as i sort through bits..

A pair of Coupe Window regulators with motors and glass. £25 a side

Set of Hairpin alloys from a 25 GTI. 3 Are practically unmarked, one does have some kerbing. All tyres are 205/45/16, 2 tyres are almost new BF Goodrich 7mm ish, 2 are Yokohama's bout 6mm. paid £140 for the BF Goodriches so will just wear them out over time on the rallycar if they dont sell. So looking for £160 really.

Set of 15" Mirage alloy wheels removed from a 2005 MGZS. In very good condition although a few tiny marks. Tyres are 195/60/15, all with about 5mm tread. £100

MGZR rear bumper, later one peice one in solid yellow. Paintwork is ok but could do with a repaint. £25

Late type MGZR spoiler, in trophy blue. Pretty good paintwork and a clear light in the spoiler. £25

25 GTI shocks/springs. Full set, bout the same ride height as a ZR. £40

Mems 3 vvc inlet. Complete with injectors & sensors. No Throttle body. £40

Rover 800 285mm discs and calipers. Discs and pads done about 500 miles. £100

Modified 620 TI calipers and 282mm ZR 160 front discs. Discs and Bosch pads dont literally 200 miles. £120

Landrover tdi 300 master cyl, fitted with the above. Only reason i removed the lot is i went to 15's. £30 (Monk)

Mems 2 VVC Coil packs & Leads. £20

Pair of unknown front ZR lowering springs. Definately off a 53 plate 1.4 ZR. £10

There will be more bits, will add them as i go. Collection only on large items. Mainly coz i cant be about for a courier to collect.

Are the 800's brakes suitable for a coupe?! Was just wondering why they're cheaper than the slightly smaller ZR setup?!

How certain are you that the front ZR lowering springs are for a 1.4?

Any rough idea on the ride height they gave, and what the ride quality was like? Tbh, at £10 they're worth a punt and they can't be any worse than the GMAX springs I'm running, just hope they work ok on an R8 - don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

Any idea on a posted price so I can weigh it up against fuel costs for a round trip? Or are they items you don't want to post?

Hiya

They were not off a car of mine so i've never used them to be honest. My friend bought the complete front subframe from the zr and just have these left.
Dont really want to post, but can probably get them brought down Birmingham way. Mate works in bilston so could meet somewhere between Litchfield and Bilston?

Cheers

Is that Bilston as in Wolverhampton way? That would work out fine. Sorry to sound like a broken record, but to confirm, these are definately aftermarket lowering springs?

if red they're more than likely AVO's. As X-power springs are green and i cant remember the other make that do them for the ZR but they're yellow.

If they are Avo they're the best lowering springs for the ZR, 35mm drop on ZR

Hi alileg, any interesting Metro bits available by any chance? Or have you moved on from them now?

The GTa alloys I got from you still look spot on! 8)
