plasma hdtv & gaming

Post by keironewoodgate »

Hey,

I know this has been done a few times so im sorry, but the whole market can be very confusing. I've read a few previous topics and this http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/products ... t_id=15376 seems to be a very good tv. I think im set on plasma over lcd but im a bit worried about image burn as at least 50% of the use will be for my ps3. Is image burn still a problem? and if it is, are there ways to reduce the risk?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Naw not really a issue any more.
You may get some image retention but this will go after watching some normal content or some snow if your annoyed by it.
Panasonics are v good - I have the PX70 (last years model) and am very happy with it

Edit: the PZ85 looks nice and is full hd but has one scart.
Edit2: Check to see if Panasonic are still doing the free 5year warranty if you buy from a shop.

yep plasmas display a 'softer' images so they look more like old tv's on SD content which imo is better than a realy pixulated pic
