Im trying to find out what the people of the forums favourite drink is (non alchoholic is allowed)
At the moment mine happens to be Guiness in the pub but i get home and have some Carolans (thats Irish Baileys)which is cheap at ASDA and at £6 a litre is almost the same price as go go juice !

i used to drink fosters all teh time, got a bit of a belly so stopped.

im into cocktails atm, kahlua, apple sours, lemonade top (dirty apple) yesterday. was nice, try to make something else today.

Don't understand why this is over 18's only, as its perfectly legal to drink alcohol in private from the age of 5 iirc

Would have to be Staropramen or Edelweiss for me on the beer front, and a nice homebrew Schnaps or Slivovice for something with a little more kick.

JD and Coke or Scotch and Coke is my std drink.

I drink bitter/ale/cider but as I hardly drink much fluid normally if I drink pints I tend to end up taking a leak every 20 mins and it's too annoying.

Wine tastes nice, but tends to make me fall asleep. Gales fruit wine is really nice actually, rather potent mind.

If I'm driving or just CBA though, Coke FTW. Cant be doing with non-alcoholic beers etc, rather just have a nice refreshing pint of cold coke.

Most lagers (NOT CARLSBERG), occasionally cider, on rare occasions bitter.

If i want something to get me going shot of Sambuca, or After Shock.

Very rarely touch spirits, never drink wine...

got some 70% absinth for that. nice if you like aniseed. want to get some polish spirit to try next, supposedly 80%!

if you like it sweet, sambuca and cream soda was a nice change.

Whats with the anti wine peeps a nice sauvignon blanc is lush, but then i drink pretty much what evers going

My first choice at home is a nice white wine, but if im out, the the normal lager/cider is ok...... but always a Jd and coke at the end

Lager , sometimes wine ,very rarely drink spirits, might have one or two whiskies over christmas but that's it.

Someone mentioned that leffe beer , jeez that stuff gets straight to your legs, very strong.

Have to agree with that one.
A pub that i once used could boast of holding 50 different bottles ,the landlord said it was his hobby and he would let you sample a full measure at £2 a shot which i thought was pretty reasonable.
Shame that he retired a few weeks ago and took his "collection" with him . lol

There is no hangover cure , depends how bad it is tbh, if its mild then a nice hot shower seems to help loads, if its like a christmas party style hangover..... then lay on the sofa, drink loads of water and watch your collection of lord of the rings all day

However, at the moment, yer actual Vard is pretty into the Badger Ales range.

Particularly;
Golden Glory,
Long Days,
Poacher's Choice.

Also I've got a soft spot for a drop of Disaronno or similar, touched with Coke.

However,

Bucking the trend, and also fairly unsurprisingly, I'm a bit of a wine fiend.

At the moment, favouring mostly new world stuffs, big Shiraz jobbies, but also at the moment a little bit of Tempranilio and maybe a touch of Garnache for warmth values! Not really much white in the winter, except Champagne in the festive season.

Heh, nasty nasty stuff, I picked up some 70% Absinthe when I was in Prague a few years back, many bad, bad times had with that stuff and thankfully no recolection of them!

The Eastern Europeans certainly know how to make damn strong spirits, I tried some Czech 'Slivovice' some relatives had, proper homebrew hooch burried in the garden for 10 years to ferment. Firey stuff!

Got a taste for 'real' Schnaps (not the weak sugary girly crap Archers make!) too for some reason.
