Any ideas on where to get decent cheap TV's in Brum?

Was looking at getting either of these:

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/logik-l22 ... 2-pdt.html

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/logik-l24d ... 6-pdt.html

And pronto too after my computers monitor died today, but nothing around that size and price seems to be in stock anywhere.

Going down Costco with a mate who has an account to see what they have on offer, but other than that I'm pretty stumped really. Found a few good deals on some other sites but they tend to have awful warranties, ranging from 3-6 months!

So, ideas? Just want something 22-24" 1080p for under £130 with a decent warranty!

Ok, FORGET PC World, Currys Digital, Dixons etc.

You get goods for which the QC is cr@p, just because you're buying branded goods doesn't mean anything. I had 6 Sony DVD recorders from them in 6 months. Well, when I say from THEM, I mean Sony. PCWDCD crapworld didn't want to know. They just kept sending replacement units (probably from PCWDCD's repaired stock).

Nip down to RicherSounds. I got an end of line Toshiba 32" LCD 1080p tv for £249 including a 5 year replacement warranty. I'll be getting a DVI to HDMI adapter cable to run my PC on it.

Although it is too late now, try signing upto Groupon/Livingsocialdeals etc as they sometimes have offers. One last week was this;

Birmingham was already prepared for it. You cannot get served for a Twix unless you are stood behind a bandit screen.

Who cares about a warranty? Biggest scam going..."Sir would you like to pay £30 a year for the same level of cover as your statutory right?"

Stef I'm surprised, I would have thought you of all (power to the) people wouldn't be duped by aftermarket warranties.

i got a 20" monitor for my pc from a shop called Gigabyte at the scott arms, a couple of years ago i paid £100 for it brand new so you can more than likely get it cheaper now. It's made by Hanspree and is a wicked monitor tbh.I'm running 1080 on it and cant fault it at all. The shop also sell 22" ones and bigger.

Or have i missed the point and you actually want a proper TV :lol:

Actually want a proper TV, but until I put in an aerial somewhere/siphon off the virgin media it'll be used as a PC monitor and for the Xbox/DVD's.

And no, I'm not paying for any additional warranty! A lot of the TV's I've been looking at have turned out to be refurb or graded stock with 3 or 6 month warranties. The last time I bought a TV was 10 years ago, don't really buy much indoor electrical stuff tbh.

My 28" TV in the bedroom is Hanspree. Can't fault it tbh. Bought it from Ebuyer, delivered for £170. Full HD 1080p, just about every input your could need (though it could have done with DVI)

Just when I'd given up and reconciled myself to just using my other 15" TFT monitor, BAM! 24" 1080p tv in Morisons for £139, and petrol at 129.9p per litre to sweeten the deal :lol:
