Right handed, so I wear it on the left hand. Think the idea is you traditionally wear it on your non dominant arm, so that it has less chance of being damaged when you are working - although this is probably a lot less relevant thesedays. Apparently watches are handed as well, depending on if the winder is on the right or left side of the dial.
I reckon you should have also asked face in or face out, as this seems to be another point for debate. I wear mine face out on the top of my wrists, know a few people who wear it the other way, but it would craze me.
What model did you get Kevin? I've been a big Seiko fan for a long time. My old man bought one in the 70's which he has worn everyday since and although the crystal is scratched to oblivion it has lasted incredibly well. Got my latest one from the official Seiko shop in Hong Kong a few weeks after it opened - 5M62 calibre sapphire crystal with titanium case and bracelet, found out later it seems to be some sort of Japanese market exclusive, which is nice and a bit different.
Although you have the time pretty much anywhere you go now with 'phones and computers - I just don't feel fully dressed unless I'm wearing a wristwatch, a good quality one is fantastic present imho.
