What would people like?

Post by David-Ti »

Hello Everyone,

If anyone is interested in a particular part fabricated for their rover I may well be able to accommodate in the next few months! Let me know what sort of part you might be interested in. (coolant pipes to downpipes)

I still need to obtain a traders license on the forum but for now, this is purely testing the waters and seeing what people might be interested in obtaining! Hopefully I am not breeching any forum rules. :)

Best Regards
David

Ok, they are fairly easy to sort so hopefully head towards a group buy at some stage!

I have purposfully kept back parts to ensure all parts maintain original fit.

I wont sell anything substandard!

I've got a one off coolant pipe which I wouldn't mind reproduced in stainless, I can even send the old one as a template.

Here's a picture, the small pipe from the expansion tank to the thermo housing

I've sent Jon a PM about getting setup for trader privileges.

Pete, I will sort you out a stainless coolant pipe.

Also, ETV if you can provide the pipes to go by I can make sure I get an exact repro of the original part (with anyluck  )

Coolant pipes are probably a good place to start.. Bare in mind I am just one man in a shed and a full time job at the moment so this is strictly spare time and a way to perhaps get into something I would "like" to do. :)

I cant see why most things aren't achievable just need a little time to get things setup. slowly, slowly catchy monkey!

Id be interested in a free flowing version of the standard T16 exhaust elbow, probably wont be a very popular item compared to snakehead downpipes though.

I could be talking the biggest load of danglies deluxe ever, but would either an upper or lower brace bar that would bolt between the upper or lower seatbelt mountings on the coupes be of any benefit to chassis stiffness? If so then I'd like to see these produced.

If any admin are able to help me initiate a trader account please let me know.

Cold air boxes and coolant pipes are where I plan to start.

Following options

Cold air box/shield

Made to fit R8 style only for now
Finish - polished or dull stainless / painted black mild steel
Filter pipe Dia- please specify

Coolant pipes

Made to fit 620ti style for now - (Or supply me with something I can copy)
Finish - Polished or dull stainless

I will give you more details when everything is above board.

There are a couple of different types. I'll get hold of a set and if you let me know where to post it to I'll send them on.

Assuming price is sensible then I can run a group buy for them on the maestro club site if that would suit you?

I would definitely be willing to take this on at some point. I want to get a few more things sorted first before fully commiting but I will pm you my address providing you dont need the parts back in a hurry? What I might do is try and get one set done for you before moving forward. That way we can both be happy you get something decent.

Guys, I am also sorting some 2mm 316 grade 2b flat polished sheet for making the cold air boxes. This stuff aint usually that cheap but hoping I've sourced someone who can sort me a good price!

Made to fit R8 style only for now
Finish - polished or dull stainless / painted black mild steel
Filter pipe Dia- please specify
Any reason why these wouldn't be suitable for an R3? (ZR/25/200).

Great. :) The R3 front end (chassis legs etc.) is pretty much identical to the R8, I was just wondering whether there would be an issue fouling on the underside of the bonnet.
