Post by JAKEBARLZ »

well as above really .. lol i managed to get a seal for my gearbox only to find out that after i got the two f*cked nuts off that were holding my wheels on that the drive shaft wasnt gonna play ball and split at the knuckle.. so now gotta drop the shock tomorow morning to get the shaft out and then get under the car to remove the cv and the then change the seal... then put ti back togehter again and re attach the whole lot .. and to top it all off i had the missus moaning that she had to take a mad diversion on way to mine so kept askin for directions. oh the fun and games

Doesn't sound too bad could be worse and will teach you to remove a drive shaft properly rather than pulling it :P

You dont need to remove the shaft at the knuckle joint :o

Remove the bolt on the lower arm to the chassis, remove the tie rod from the lower arm, remove the anti-roll bar link, this then gives you enough swing to pull the shaft out the box all attached. Change the seal then reverse fit everything back together.

Has something gone wrong meaning you have to disconnect the shaft :?

Sorry i couldn't return the call, was in the middle of doing brakes on an astra and covered in muck and grime.
