Has any 1 come across permacoils (no there not some thing to do with women doing there hair)
I know they use stainless helicoils and are alot cheaper, i was just wondering is any 1 had tried them?

Personally I can't fault normal helicoils they're holding the engine mounts to the gearbox on the MR2 and the bolts are properly torqued up to 55lb/ft :)

On Simons recomendation I used tim-certs to replace the helicoils for my exhaust manifold botls. They are in a different class of fixing, really beefy. Only problem is you need to drill a larger hole to put them in.

Whats it for?

I need it for the exhaust fanimold, i've managed to borrow some inserts from work, i just need to tap it out first.
