Devon Cornwall area?

Post by alexcornwall »

Hey there, was just wondering how many members there actually are from the south west particularly?
And if theres a few should we not organise a meet up?

Cheers, alex.

I'm in plymouth.

I'd be willing to travel to a meet in the camborne-ish area.

Any excuse to do the glynn valley twisties and bask in the smoothness of the new section of A30.

Or perhaps a meet nearer to exeter or bristol would be a better call? It would certainly draw in more people.

I know a rolling road that's always more than happy to hold meets in their yard and give cheap rr runs while they're at it.

Its near taunton (conveniently almost halfway between conehead country and wilts etc) and some incredible country roads, not to mention a pub that does the best pub lunch in the SW and has a big car-park.

A quick run down the m5 for 'them up north' and a great blip up the A30 for us southerners... even the coneheads could make it there in less than 2 hours.

Would need some good confirmed attendance figures for me to sort it out though. 10-20 cars would probably do.

Any takers?

If its a 4wd rolling road I'd be up for it, date dependent - thats if you don't mind a non-Rover being there....

Id be keen on a rolling road session if i can get it off work. Any ideas on a date if it were to happen i reckon me mate would be up for it too. Long_guts yep i did see you, what engine you got in yours? that same nite someone reversed into my passenger front wing in asda also catching my door and alloy too. Engine is running a lil off at the moment stupidly high on emissions but got a different exhaust system to put on it & a new sensor but think i may need a lambda replaced

Its not a 4wd rolling road unfortunately.

I'll get in touch with them and find out some possible dates, prices for the rr runs etc and make a fresh topic about it.
