Post by Crome »

Right then, i know a few of you are nearly finished projects or getting their cars back on the road :D
im interested to see any new forum members cars for this year and if they will be at meets...?
also if Rav will have his coupe turbo ready on the road for this summer... and geocoupe too :D

Anyone else got a project or new car for this year?

I'm still working on tidying my coupe up for mot time, just the bodywork and a few mods of course :), infact Crome, i'll have to arrange to come by and get that front wing and bonnet from you...Rav has just went away to india for 3 weeks i think its 3 weeks, anyway...are you desperate to get them out the way? i'm not 100% sure whether i'll get both in the fabia or not though

EDIT: i will actually get to meets this year

In the process of building a tuned diesel - but as the previous owner did zero serving im doing oil leaks and thermostats instead.

Sdi injectors and a decat soon, remap and turn the boost up a few psi, id be keen to get it rr'd and see if i can hit 150. Torque will be through the roof :)

Hey guys!

Not had a car since my wee saxo a few months ago!, its was a wee machine with a set of catcams a remap and breathing mods!

got an astra van due to the commitment of starting my own business, funds must be concentrated on that! and getting the van running! (z20let is being considered  ).

once i get the van running id love to go up to crail - not been in years!
Boost cut is similar to this :o with emphasis on this :scared: Then this :? and this  this :x this , then when you fix it, this :D

Just finished reconditioning my front brakes, and have my spare set of ZS180 brakes fresh back from being gold electroplated to the OE finish.

Ill be well up for a meet at some point SOON, as they have stopped gritting the roads just now!

Will only take it out when the roads have not been salted, and I think we are getting to that point in Spring now!

gonna change the belt on th epump timing first see if that solves it, hoping for a simple solution tbh

take me back to a petrol! the repair bills are offsetting the diesel mpg saving lol

Lol cant get that running right either, cuts out when throttle is applied when its cold. Had the carb stripped and diaphragms replaced too. Its got a mechanical fuel pump and no fuel filter for some reason so i reckon the pump is filled with crap out of the tank since it was stood.

Lost my only 12mm spanner to get it off so will have to pop to halfords and get another, just concentrating on the 45 as its my daily runner.
