Would you trust this website?
I'd like a pair of headphones that are becoming very popular, but they retail at £150-£160....which I would NEVER pay for headphones.
But I came across this website, based in London.
Would you trust it?

£30 here
http://www.dhgate.com/wholesale/headpho ... 08002.html
My brother has bought from china for years. Decent gear, probably not genuine but all seems well.
We used to buy the beats ones for £40 and flog them for £150 on ebay.
Never had any issues

It isn't uncommon to have a registrant address that doesn't match the trading address. Often a domain is registered on behalf of somebody anyway.1234dist wrote:short answer, no.

However, if a deal looks too good to be true, it probably is. Mobile numbers and dodgy looking websites offering an item at a low price is never a good sign.
On a side issue, you do realise those beats headphones are utter rubbish and not even worth £40? If you are just getting them for looks then that's fine, but if you actually want £150's worth of sound, you will be disappointed.
Some Chinese imports can be very good, but either way, selling counterfeit goods is probably not something you would want to publicly be admitting.vinny19791 wrote: We used to buy the beats ones for £40 and flog them for £150 on ebay.

Re: Would you trust this website?
the website should always be registered to the owner of the site.
Otherwise they have no legal right to the site or any content and if the runner of the site wanted to steal it, without the register stating they are the own its basically tough sh*t.
The database engine on one of my sites cost over £7k in design and execution, i would hate to see that just stolen off me.
You should be the registered owner and your web designer should be the technical contact.

Re: Would you trust this website?
Erm, the contact details relate to the domain name, not the website or the content. It is perfectly permissible to have a completely unrelated company register and hold the domain. In fact many companies offer this service for purposes of anonymity. UK domains also have an opt out clause.1234dist wrote:the website should always be registered to the owner of the site.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with legal copyright.

Re: Would you trust this website?
In response to the above comment about them not even being worth £40, I disagree. They do sound great.
I have a £30 pair of Sonys and they sound nothing like the Beats.

Re: Would you trust this website?
I'm not saying they are a bad headphone, but they are not rated as a good headphone either. For £150 you can get some really excellent audiophile grade kit, the beats are not in the same class.lennox1185 wrote:In response to the above comment about them not even being worth £40, I disagree. If you want to know more get yourself over to head-fi and join up on their forums, they are the rovertech of the headphone world. I did some extensive research on there before getting my AKGs and saved myself a lot of money as a result!
Re: Would you trust this website?
NO NO NO do NOT buy from this store.
I was tempted to get Paco Robanne 1 million from there but did a bit of research before. It's all cheap and nasty knock off crap.
Found this thread, I posted in it. Quite a remarkable thing happeend where the store owner saw that I posted on this link im about to post and refunded my money after i ordered wit them because I was "slagging their company off" - more like because id report back to the website how fake the product was when I recieved it.
