Being down about it! Cheer up and just live life and then someone nice might come along! Trust me, being miserable gets you no where. Just try and lighten up, go out with some friends round various pubs in the town/city of choice and have a laugh! Worked for me after I'd been treated and used by one girl. Then a while later I asked out a girl who was also at uni in Hull around this last year cos I liked her, she seemed nice and she seemed to tolerate me - and she's still tolerating now.
