My xbox has passed on! My xbox is no more! My xbox has ceased to be! My xbox expired and gone to meet his maker! Bereft of life, My xbox rests in peace! My xbox's metabolic processes are now history! My xbox is off the twig! My xbox has kicked the bucket, My xbox has shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!!

Rob, mine died yesterday, screen kept freezing etc. Went and part exchanged it for an Elite with a free game. I gave them my Xbox 360 premium with 1 controller and £140 for the Elite with free game and a memory card to transfer my stuff over.

Exactly, how would we cope Mark? No Halo3 team doubles or COD4 online action.
My 360 only gets turned on to play divxs atm... well, I had about 20mins on Mass Effect the other day but that was the first time in weeks.
Saying that I'm going to the g/f's family over easter so plan to take the 360, my monitor and my games and spend a good 4 days gaming while she catches up with her mum, lol

If it is indeed a xbox 360, then is it not under the extended warranty still? I got mine the day they were released, stopped working about a month ago, 3 red lights, sent to Microsoft, they replaced PSU, Motherboard, DVD and Controller ports XD all under warranty.

Standard warranty is for a year , 3 years for RROD (Red Ring Of Death)

i bought myself an elite about two months ago and touch wood is been good so far but the newer ones especially the elite and the halo edition are less prone to red ring of death as theyve changed soething to do with the motherboards over
i think i read somewhere that its to do with the heat generated by the unit melts some of the glue on the motherboard and thats why it dies a death
my gamertag is sam251 if anyone want to add me to there freinds list
1 more thing bought that frontlines fuel of war the other week the camoaign isnt that smart but the 32player online is awesone once you learn how to control the vehicles properly is quite awkward
Some good news, microsoft are repairing mine free of charge so in the meantime I've part ex'd my ps2 and all the games plus a couple of 360 games for 100gbp against a new arcade unit for 160gbp. The arcade console came with a memory card and free game so I also part x'd them in for a further 27gbp so I basically paid 33gbp for a brand new console with HDMI. I'll get much more than that back when I trade in my repaired console. Happy days!
